Hardware & Tactics
Equipment is secondary to proficiency. (Insights 04-06)
Weight vs. Versatility
Ounces equal pounds, and pounds equal pain. Every item in your pack must serve a minimum of three distinct functions. A specialized tool is dead weight unless you are performing that specialized task 80% of the time. We mandate modular, multi-use kits that scale with the environment.
The Analogue Imperative
Batteries freeze, screens shatter, and GPS signals reflect off canyon walls. Digital tools are conveniences, not lifelines. You must maintain hard mastery of map, compass, and celestial reading. If you cannot operate without a satellite uplink, you are not ready for a BKJNR deployment.
Redundancy in Core Systems
Two is one, and one is none. This applies exclusively to your core triad: Fire, Water, Navigation. Carry three distinct methods of ignition, two mechanical filtration systems plus chemical treatment, and dual analogue navigation tools. For everything else, rely on improvisation.
